Changes to UK Maternity and Paternity Leave

We live in a modern world, so it only makes sense that our laws surrounding taking care of our children should reflect that. This isn’t the 1950’s, and the woman’s perceived place is no longer in the home – unless of course, she decides for herself that it should be.

When a baby is born, often, there are two parents involved, and each should have as much right as the other to take care of their offspring. New laws being brought into place will allow parents to split traditional maternity leave to amount to paternity leave too, if it so suits the individual family. Here’s an overview of the changes that are now in place, according to Taylor Rose.
