People do not understand the full cost of a DUI. The reckless stupidity of drinking and driving should not be met with fines but life in jail. Yep that is correct. I have known people that were killed by drunk drivers and all the drunk driver got was a slap on the wrist and a few years probation because he had a great lawyer. First offense should be a $50,000 fine and mandatory jail for 5 years. Second offense should be $100,000 and life in jail. I have zero tolerance for people that drink and drive. If you drink and drive you should be locked up to protect the rest of society.
